Jeanne Porter, Native American ancestry of Lowcountry Charleston, SC, Influenced Jeanne early in life, on the art of talking to the animals. Animals—chickens, horses, dogs, canaries, mice, cats (yes, cats)—communicate! Plants, trees, all of nature speaks to us!
